Jaipur, Jun 23 (KMS): Staged an attack on BJP and RSS, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot says BJP members are inciting people to create communal discord in the country. He wondered if India became a Hindu nation, would it stay that way?
Gehlot said, I would like to ask BJP, RSS leaders, how long are you going to keep inciting people in the name of Hinduism? He said it is one thing to make a country in the name of a religion, but to maintain it is another. He argued that countries can be formed in the name of religion, but that is no guarantee that they will remain united.
Minister of Rajasthan Chie said that today they (leaders of BJP, RSS) are provoking people by speaking Hindu Rashtra. He said, recently Indian Affairs Minister Amit Shah uttered two words on Hindi and the whole of South India stood on their feet. He said the Amit Shah should take out the words saying he didn’t mean that.
“When the locals can be provoked in the name of language, then you can think what can their thoughts be thinking in the name of religion? Can this country stay united in the name of religion, in the name of the Hindu religion? he said.
Gehlot said that today the BJP embraces Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes saying they are Hindu. “I watch them from childhood when it was Jan Sangh. These people merged into Janata party, when Indira Gandhi was sent to jail then and now as Bharatiya Janata party, I saw that ‘they never kissed people from the scheduled caste,’ he added.
