An organized campaign is underway online to portray the Dravidian model of governance as a model against spirituality and belief, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MP Stalin said on Wednesday.

Striking at right-wing Hindutva forces, Stalin further stated that those who use religion and faith to advance their own political interests are spreading such misinformation online.

“The Dravidian model is not against spirituality or belief, but against those who use them to advance their hate-based political agenda,” he said.

Dravida leader Munnetra Kazhagam has warned that his remarks will be twisted by vicious groups online to portray DMK in the dark.

Stalin’s speech on the need to break these “big lies of vicious online community groups” was at the launch of celebrations to commemorate the 200th birth anniversary of Ramalinga Adigal or Vallalar, a prominent Tamil saint, also considered one of the greatest Tamils. poets who lived in the 19th century.

He further said that Hindu, Religious and Charitable (HR&CE) Department Minister Sekar Babu visits the temples more than he visits the Secretary of State at Fort St. George.

As promised in the poll manifesto, Stalin said his government had started work for the Vallalar International Center at a cost of Rs 100 crore to Vadalur.
